Class times and levels are listed on the board at the studio. Your child will be given a list of classes and times to try once a dance and/or vocal evaluation has been done. First lesson is free.

     We enjoy having families with us at OCSDC. If you would like to observe your child’s class, please do so. Small children are distracted easily, please use discretion in bringing younger siblings to observe classes. Please feel free to take advantage of our play area which is equipped with a VCR.

Dance Etiquette for Class

    Do not be late for class. If your instructor allows you to take class, despite your tardiness, always stand out of the way (usually back of the room) and warm up before joining in. Students should receive permission to participate if late. After a certain length of time has gone by, no student will be allowed to participate physically. Check with instructor on that allowable time.

    Pay attention to ALL corrections given in class, they also apply to you.    Corrections and comments given to each student are a valuable source of information.               

    Do not wear dangling or excessive jewelry in class. Large hoop earrings, bracelets, large watches, necklaces, and even ornate rings are unacceptable. “Scrunchies” in hair have a tendency to fly off, secure hair in other ways.

Never chew gum during class.

Be aware of spatial relationships. Do not block other dancers, be aware of yourself and others in space.
